Willie is a classically trained vocalist. While on tour last year, he won the Dallas Music News’ Year-2000 “Best Male Vocalist Award.”
He has worked with the likes of Igor Stravinsky, The Texas Boys’ Choir, Andy Johns, Buddy Miles, Canned Heat, Dr. Dre and Sisqo.
With his rock band Black Sheep, Basse has developed a keen sense for discovering major talent. Black Sheep has been the home to some of today’s best rock musicians like, Slash, James Kottak, Randy Castillo, Paul Gilbert, Kyle Harrison, Mitch Perry and Marshall Harrison.
His Pro-Audio client list includes: Korn, Jonathan Davis, A & M Studios-Hollywood, Capitol Records Studios-Hollywood, Larabee Recording Studios, Paramount Recording Studios, M.A.D. Labs, Sony Music Studios, Lindsey Buckingham, Mike Campbell, Toby Wright, Bill Kennedy, Joe Barisi, Don Smith, Garth Richardson and Doug Fieger. Willie was also involved in the consultation, design, equipment choice & purchase at Studio Atlantis, a new Neve VR-5.1 Surround-Sound recording facility in Hollywood, Ca.
